On the 30th of April 2004 this prenuptial agreement was signed between crown prince Frederik of Denmark and Mary Donaldson.

The sollicitor involved was Henrik Wedell-Wedellsborg.

This contract stipulates that in the case of a divorce, Frederik is to provide Mary with an allowance that will enable her to maintain her life style and with a residence she chooses, in or outside Denmark.

In 2006 however an adjustment was made to the original text, leaving out the part about the residence. After Joachim and Alexandra's divorce it became clear that the choice of Alexandra's exclusive villa was a cost too heavy on the Danish royal house to be repeated in future.
