Visit to London: day two

15 September 2004

Mary & Frederik officially launched the British bicentennial celebration of Hans Christian Andersen's birth in London, at the British Library.

Mary wore a new Prada skirt and new Yves Saint Laurent pumps.

Like the previous day, she was posing in the way she had learnt at Starmakers.

Mary also wore a new pearl bracelet.

Among the guests at the launch were the British HC Andersen ambassadors, including Roger Moore, sir David Frost, Liz Hurley and Sir Derek Jacobi.

Mary told Australian newspaper The Age she was "having a lovely trip" and was in fine health and spirits.

Chief of court Per Thornit was with them on the London trip.
