Crown Princess Mary Scholarship 2005

9 June 2005

The Crown Princess Mary Scholarship was founded in 2004, as a wedding gift from the University of Copenhagen.

The scholarship each year funds the exchange of 2 Australian students at a Danish university.

The scholarship was handed out for the first time in 2005. Mary was accompanied by countess Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensteen.
The winners were Pia Akerman of Sydney University and Andrew Fleming of the University of Adelaide.

Mary wore a new skirt by Clements Ribeiro.

Her new earrings were by Marianne Skaarup. The Danish jewel designer had sent them to Mary as a gift for her first wedding anniversary.

The crown princess was expecting her first child.
