Thirteenth patronage: Geelsgårdskolen

The same day she returned from Latvia, Mary had another event on the agenda.

As their patron she visited Geelsgårdskolen in Virum, a school for children with special needs.

Crown princess Mary - who was expecting Christian - was present for the celebration of the 50 years of existence of the school. She was accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, countess Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensteen.

Twelfth patronage: Det Danske Kulturinstitut

Mary accepted the patronage of the Danish Cultural Institutes, Danish cultural "embassies" abroad.

At 19:00 pregnant crown princess Mary was at the celebrations for the 15 anniversary of the Danish Cultural Institute in Riga, Latvia. She attended a concert by the Latvian Symphonic Orchestra.




She flew back to Copenhagen the next morning at 07:00.

HC Andersen gala concert

Another day, another activity for Mary who obviously was blessed with a lot of energy in her first pregnancy. Together with Frederik she attended a gala concert by the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, for the HC Andersen bicentenary year, at Radio Concert Hall in Copenhagen.

Pregnant crown princess Mary and her lady-in-waiting visited the expo "to write is an act of love" organized by the HC Andersen ABC Foundation that fights illiteracy all over the world. Location was Thorvaldsens Museum in Copenhagen.

Opening of a New Oncological Center

As the patron of the Danish Cancer Society, Mary attended the official opening of a new Cancer Research Center in Vejle. Her lady-in-waiting, countess Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensteen, accompanied her.

 


She wore her French Tank watch by Cartier with a new camel coloured strap.

Eleventh patronage: Dansk Flygtningehjælp

Crown princess Mary became the patron of the Danish Refugee Council, a humanitarian, non profit, non governmental organisation that's active in over 30 countries.

Over the years Mary has become quite active for the Refugee Council. The first years she was present at important meetings and fundraisers, later she started doing work "in the field" i.e. visiting camps ans projects abroad.

Pregnant crown princess Mary handed out the Designers' Nest Award to an up-and-coming Scandinavian fashion designer at Øksnehallen in Copenhagen. She was accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, countess Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensteen.

Mary wore new earrings by Marianne Dulong.



In the afternoon she attended the runway show "Fashion with a Purpose" with Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensteen. It was a fundraiser by the Danish Refugee Council, one of her patronages, at the Danish Royal Academy for Architecture at Holmen, in Copenhagen.

 


Afterwards it was on to the celebration of 25 years CIFF at Bella Center, with her husband and lady-in-waiting.
