Fredensborg Library presents Christian's gifts

3 May 2006

The municipal library of Fredensborg-Humlebæk officially presented its christening gifts for prince Christian: a membership card and the book "Godnat Magnus" by Karin Feit Almberg & Birde Poulsen.

Crown princess Mary & crown prince Frederik also received a wooden horse for their son. It was made by Finn Rune Nielsen and remains in the library building.

The Danish word for bookworm is "læsehest", literally: reading horse. Mary spontaneously remarked "A læsehest!" when they unveiled the wooden horse.

Mary's lady-in-waiting Caroline Heering was also present.
