Home Guard: basic training

16-18 January 2008

Crown princess Mary followed a three day basic training with the Danish Home Guard at their training grounds in Christiansminde. She was accompanied by Caroline Heering.

They completed 27 hours of training in 3 days. At the end of the day they didn't stay on the grounds but returned to Kancellihuset where they both spent the night.

This was an adapted training for the crown princess, since a normal Home Guard Basic Training consists of 250 hours.

Mary would follow more Home Guard trainings in the months and years to come, reaching the grade of Lieutenant in 2013.
