Rasmus Klump Prisen for Mary's Foundation
23 November 2009
As patron of the Mary Foundation, crown princess Mary received the Rasmus Klump Award for the foundation's work against bullying.
Tanja Doky acted as lady-in-waiting.
At 10:30 Mary was at Tivoli's Mama Mokka Café in Copenhagen to receive the award.
Rasmus Klump is a Danish well known cartoon figure. The award focusses on friendship. Mary told the audience: "My first meeting with Rasmus Klump, was when a female friend pointed out the coincidence between the penguin Pingo and the ship Mary to me".
Frederik was nicknamed Pingo in his frogman days, when his diving suit once had a hole in it and started filling up with water, he started walking like the TV figure. Mary is the ship on which Rasmus Klump sails.
Mary wore a new jacket by Ralph Lauren and a new scarf by Crumpet. She bought the scarf at Trois Pommes in Hellerup.
