Vancouver Olympics: Mini Interview

Frederik & Mary attended the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada from the 9th to the 19th of February. While crown prince Frederik of Denmark was present as an official IOC member, Mary had no official activities and was only listed as accompanying her husband. She arrived later. The children were at home in Denmark.

Frederik & Mary were interviewed by a BilledBladet reporter. They were asked if the couple was planning on having another child.

Mary: "It has become a sort of tradition to ask that question and our answer is the usual: we have no comments".

Billedbladet: But it cannot be ruled out that Christian and Isabella will have a sister or brother?

Frederik: "Nothing can be ruled out or confirmed".

In reality it was certainly on the agenda as Mary would be expecting twins 2 months later.

 

They also added they would take their children along to the London Olympics in two years time - which they did.

Reporter Ulrik Ulriksen also reported he'd caught sight of the crown prince couple in a private moment, when they were having coffee in the nearby town of Whistler.
