Apartment in Copenhagen

Once living in Denmark Mary moved into an 132 m² apartment on Langelinie in Copenhagen.

In April 2004 the rent for this appartment was a whopping 2.285 euro a month.

Move to Denmark

In August 2002 Mary leaves Australia and moves to Denmark.

She's seen out and about in Copenhagen.

In the pics below she's seen for the first time with her new amethyst Marianne Dulong earrings. She owns the same studs in aquamarine and a pink gemstone as well, and untill this day she uses them very often.

While Frederik was sailing in Ireland, she took Australian friends around town. Here at Café Victor.

 With some of her Danish friends: Julie Mølsgaard  and Birgitte Zachau. Birgitte Zachau is the wife of Jeppe Handwerk, one of Frederik's closest friends - Jeppe & Frederik met during their training in the frogmanskorps in 1995. Jeppe owns an import and consultancy firm, Birgitte worked for luxury fur brand Birger Christensen before becoming a project manager at advertising agency Halby og Kaag.

Wedding of Thomas & Trine Fabienke

Frederik & Mary at the wedding of Thomas and Tine Fabienke at Nøbbet Kirke in Vestlolland, on the island of Lolland.

Thomas Fabienke is the owner of Egholmgaard on Lolland. He's been a friend of Frederik's since 1987 when they met through mutual friends. Trine is a museum director.

  

Among the guests are Chris Minh Doky and Julie Molsgaard.

Chris Minh Doky is a jazz musician. He's been friends with Frederik since the beginning of the 1990s. Chris was married untill 2014 to Tanja Elise Kjærsgaard, who's been Mary's lady in waiting for 6,5 years. Tanja is originary from Viborg and used to be head of communications at Burson-Marsteller. Chris and Tanja have two kids, Frida and Milo.

Julie Mølsgaard is a producer in the advertising industry. She's been a close friend of Frederik's since they went to school together at Øregaard Gymnesium. When Mary first came to Denmark Julie often accompanied her around the country.

Christening of Emilie Heering

Mary & Frederik at the christening of Emilie, the first child of Peeter & Caroline Heering, at Øster Egede Kirke in Sydsjælland.

Mary's friend Amber Petty is also present.
Mary and Amber have known each other since 1996 when they were colleagues at MOJO advertising/marketing in Melbourne. Their friendship developed after 1998, after Henrietta's death, when Mary decided to go backpacking through Scotland/Europe. Amber's words in a workplace farewell card really stuck with Mary. After returning to Australia, Mary moved to Sydney. They  had a long distance friendship (Mary in Sydney and Amber still in Melbourne) when Mary met Fred in 2000.

Peter Heering is Frederik's lifelong friend. His mother, Susanne Heering, is one of Margrethe's best friends. Frederik and Peter both joined the military - with Peter becoming a major. Afterwards he made a career for himself in the IT insurance company Scalepoint, that Mærsk bought into. His wife Caroline is one of Mary's closest friends. She was her lady in waiting and private secretary for a few years and is a board member of the Mary Foundation. Peter and Caroline have two kids, Emilie and Rosemarie. They are godparents to princess Isabella and prince Vincent.
