Frederik turns 40: Dannebrog party

After the balcony appearance at Amalienborg, a party was hosted aboard the Dannebrog to celebrate Frederik's 40th birthday - it lasted untill 2:00.

It was Frederik himself who wished to celebrate his birthday onboard the Dannebrog. The plan to sail up the Sound between Denmark and Sweden had to be cancelled due to bad weather. Instead the ship staid in the harbour.

Mary wore a new gown by Juozas Statkevicius.

Christening of Palma Handwerk

Frederik, Mary and their two children were among the guests at the christening of the second daughter of their close friends, Jeppe and Birgitte Handwerk at Garnisionskirken on Sankt Annæ Plads in Copenhagen.

Mary wore a new Heartmade skirt.

Birgitte Handwerk and her first daughter, India.

Other guests were: prince Joachim and his fiancée, Marie Cavallier.

Also present were: Søren Hedegaard & Preben Kristensen, Julie Mølsgaard, count Bendt Wedell & countess Pernille Wedell, Caroline Heering & her family, Malou & Jørgen Skeel and Ellen Hillingsø who is Palma's godmother. 

Palma was christened by Peter Parkov.

At 20:30 a dinner was held, followed by a party that lasted untill 05:00.

Mary wore a new dress by Temperley London.

Crown prince Frederik and crown princess Mary attended the gala premiere of Danish film "ARN" at Imperial Biograf in Copenhagen.

They were accompanied by Per Thornit.

Mary wore a new bolero by Heartmade. Her new braceletes were also Heartmade.

Other guests at the premier were: Tanja Doky and her husband Chris Minh Doky, Bent Fabricius Bjerre, Henriette Zobel, Ellen Hillingsø and Bille August.

Danish holidays

First part of July 2007

Mary, Frederik and their two children spent a part of their holidays in Denmark. They were seen in Vesterhavet beach & Skagen with Malou & Jørgen Skeel and their son Holger and with Ellen Hillingsø and her daughter Anna.

Earlier in the week Mary had been spotted with Christian and baby Isabella upon her arrival at Aalborg airport. 

She was carrying a new Prada bag.

Blue themed birthday party

Mary and Frederik joined their regular group of friends for the 40th birthday party of Peter Heering and Ulrik Trolle at the Danish Students Rowing Club in Copenhagen. Peter & Ulrik both were at school with Frederik.

About 150 guests attended the "blue" themed party.

34th birthday

On the Sunday Mary turned 34 she hosted a brunch for her closest Danish friends at Kancellihuset.

Invited were: Julie Mølsgaard, Caroline Heering, Rose Gad, Ellen Hillingsø (who brought along her daughter Anna Castenskiold), Jean Mensah, Rikke Juel Brandt, Anja Camilla Alajdi and Søren Heedegaard. Frederik was present too.

The night before there had been a birthday party at Mary's home with her father John and stepmother Susan, queen Margrethe and prince Henrik.
