Mary Fonden: Kærestevold

A week after returning from her very first foreign state visit, accompanying the queen to Vietnam, crown princess Mary was performing a new public activity.

As patron, she was was present at a conference on violence in relationships held by the Mary Foundation at Den Sorte Diamant in Copenhagen.

She was welcomed by Brigitte Hagemann Snabe, Director of Mary Fonden. Caroline Heering acted as lady-in-waiting, while Tanja Doky was also present.

Mary gave the opening speech.

As patron, crown princess Mary attended a Free from Bullying conference organized by Mary Fonden at the Gentofte city hall.

She arrived at 9:00 with her lady-in-waiting, Caroline Heering.

Mary was wearing a new pair of Marianne Dulong diamond and pearl earrings and her Marianne Dulong champagne brown diamond ring.

As patron of the Mary Foundation, crown princess Mary opened the anti-bullying conference "No to bullying, Yes to the welfare" at DGI city Copenhagen. The conference was organized by Mary Fonden & Save the Children.

Caroline Heering acted as lady-in-waiting.

The conference lasted all day and combined lectures, testimonies and workshops. There was also a lecture by Mary's friend, Ellen Hillingsø.

Mary wore a new dress by Malene Birger.

Crown princess Mary was present at Nykredit in Copenhagen for the launch of a new Mary Fonden project, to help women suffering from domestic violence  with free legal advice. The project was a joint effort of the Mary Foundation, Nykredit and Mødrehjælpen.

Later the same day, Mary recorded a video message for her patronage, Rare Disorders Denmark.

To promote (Mary and) the foundation, court closely worked together with Danish TV2 to talk about the first year of Mary Fonden's existence.

In the documentary Mary steps forward as chairman. While all the actual work is being done by a skilled professional team, Mary makes the final decisions, drawing on her experience in advertising and the things she learned from her patronages. "As the one who took the initiative to establish the Foundation I have very strong opinions and viewpoints, but I will always expect to be challenged. I do believe that through discussion and open dialogue you can reach the best solution". Mary adds that she sometimes can get a little too involved.

Crown princess Mary was present at her Foundation's Conference on domestic violence,  "Everyone deserves a life without violence" at Den Sorte Diamant in Copenhagen.

She opened the day with a 10 minute speech.

Mary had a cold so she chose to wear a scarf.

Caroline Heering accompanied the crown princess as lady-in-waiting.
