With the twins still under the age of 1, 2011 was a year where Mary took the time that was necessary to be with her children.
In July the family spent their holidays at the château de Cayx in France.
Frederik, Mary & the children were spotted by paparazzi as they were holidaying with Hamish Campbell & Genevieve Taubman and their 2 sons.

On the 27th of July 2011 the holidays were interrupted when Mary & Frederik attended a memorial service at the Vor Frue Kirke in Copenhagen, in honour of the young victims of the Oslo bombing & Utøya shootings.
Mary carried a new clutch by Pura Lopez.
The same day, the family and Margrethe were flown to Graasten Slot by helicopter.
Mary & Frederik were spotted horse riding in the vicinity of the royal estate. Their dog Ziggy was with them.
On the 29th of July 2011 the family made a trip to Legoland. They took Ingrid & Richard von Pfeil with them.
Mary was wearing a new scarf by Paul Smith.
The same day, Mary & Isabella had been photographed walking the babies.
The family photo shoot at Graasten took place on the 1st of August 2011.
For the first time the family moved away from the entrance of the castle, and went into the garden.
They also posed at the new steps by the lake, which were a birthday gift from the municipality to queen Margrethe.
Mary wore a new Prada dress.
