Prince Henrik's 75th Birthday: Lunch & Concert

At noon, Mary and Frederik attended a family luncheon aboard the Dannebrog for prince Henrik's 75th birthday, and the regent couple's 42nd wedding anniversary. While they were lunching, the ship sailed from Copenhagen harbour to Rungsted harbour.






At night, they joined the other Danish royals at Copenhagen's Opera for a concert and reception.

Royal Life Guards' 350th anniversary: concert

Queen Margrethe, prince Henrik, crown prince Frederik & crown princess Mary, prince Joachim & princess Marie, princess Benedikte & prince Richard von Berleburg were at the Tivoli Concert Hall in Copenhagen for a performance of the Royal Danish Life Guards Military Band.




Tanja Doky acted as lady-in-waiting.

Graasten holidays: Legoland + concert

Frederik & Mary took Christian to Legoland. They were joined by Alexandra von Berleburg and her two children, Richard and Ingrid.





Mary told the press Christian likes to play with Duplo and builds high stacks with it.



Mary wore a new jacket by Heartmade.


Her new earrings were by Marianne Dulong.


In the evening queen Margrethe hosted a classical concert at the chapel of Graasten castle for which the family members got together.


Mary wore a new dress by Hugo Boss.


She wore her monogrammed diamond Cenius & Bach earrings with a new, amethyst pendant.

Inauguration of the new Opera building

The entire Danish royal family was present at the official opening of the prestigious new Opera on the island of Holmen in Copenhagen. It's situated on the other side of Amalienborg palace and Amaliehave, across the harbour. So the royal guests arrived by boat.




The building was completely financed and donated to Denmark by Arnold Mærsk Mc-Kinny Møller (1913-2012), Danmark's wealthiest and most powerful man - owner of shipping company Mærsk - and a close friend of the Danish royals. He greeted the royals personally upon their arrival.






Among the VIP guests were also the prime minister, Anders Fogh Rasmussen and his wife Anne Mette.

The performances during this gala opening lasted for 4 hours.
