Tivoli with cousins

Mary, Frederik and Christian joined Frederik's cousins for an afternoon at Tivoli in Copenhagen.

Fine dining restaurant "The Paul" was opened exclusively for the 20 or so royals during their visit to have a break, a warm drink or a snack.

Mary was 5 months pregnant with Isabella.

In the evening Frederik & Mary hosted a pre Christmas party for the extended Danish royal family at Kancellihuset, their home.

Presentation of Julemærker

Crown princess Mary was present for the presentation of the new Christmas seals - one of her patronages. The event took place at restaurant Grøften in Tivoli, Copenhagen.

The crown princess was accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, Caroline Heering.

Mary's second pregnancy had been anounced 4 days earlier.

Memorial concert for queen Ingrid

Crown prince Frederik & crown princess Mary attended the memorial concert for Frederik's grandmother, queen Ingrid of Denmark, who died 5 years earlier. It was held at Tivoli's concert hall, in Copenhagen.

This was Mary's first public outing after the birth of her son, 3 weeks earlier. It wasn't the start of going back to work though - that would be in January 2006, and only very gradually.

Mary wore a new Malene Birger dress and a new Prada coat.

They were accompanied by Mary's lady-in-waiting, countess Victoria Bernstorff and chief of court Per Thornit.

The other Danish royals present were: queen Margrethe, ex queen Anne-Marie of Greece, her son prince Nikolaos of Greece, princess Benedikte, her children prince Gustav von Berleburg and princess Alexandra von Berleburg + husband count Jefferson von Pfeil. Also prince Joachim and his ex wife, countess Alexandra Frederiksborg.

Festivities for Henrik's 70th birthday

A day before his 70th birthday, prince Henrik was celebrated. It was also Henrik & Margrethe's 37th wedding anniversary.

In the afternoon there was a concert at Tivoli.

Mary wore a new dress by Prada.

At night there was a gala dinner at Fredensborg.

Mary wore a new gown by Prada.
Her new necklace was by Marianne Dulong.

On his 70th birthday prince Henrik was woken up with the traditional 'morgensang' under his window at Fredensborg castle. Among the people singing were Frederik and Mary.

Mary wore a new cardigan by Prada.
She also wore new pink ear studs by Marianne Dulong.

 

Princess Benedikte's 60th birthday

Mary Donaldson took part in the festivities for princess Benedikte's 60th birthday in Copenhagen.

In the afternoon there was a horse show at the riding ground of Christansborg and a reception at the royal stables. Among the guests were queen Margrethe, prince Henri, queen Anne Marie, prince Gustav von Berleburg, princess Alexandra von Berleburg, Jefferson von Pfeil and their daughter Ingrid.

At night there were private celebrations and a dinner at Tivoli, a surprise organized by Benedikte's sisters Margrethe and Anne Marie.

Mary, Frederik and Gustav also tried Tivoli's new attraction Dæmonen.
