New Year's Eve at Birkelse Gods

From Marselisborg Frederik, Mary and their children Christian (4) and Isabella (2,5) moved on to their hunting lodge in Trend.

They spent new year's eve at the nearby Birkselse estate belonging to their friends Jørgen & Malou Skeel and son Holger (4).

On the 30th of December a hunt was organized. Unfortunately a 79 year old participant and former employee of the Skeels had a cardiac arrest and died on the spot. The hunt was broken off.

Easter at Trend

Second half of April 2009

Mary spent the Easter break at Trend in Jylland.

She was spotted driving a quad with daughter Isabella on her lap.

Trend Hunting Lodge

One of Mary's favourite getaways in Denmark is the royal hunting lodge in Trend.

The large lodge is situated in 637 hectares of private woodland - impossible to run into paparazzi or other unwished guests.

The Trend lodge isn't far from Birkelse Gods (where Malou & Jørgen Skeel live) and Frijsenborg Slot, owned by Bendt Wedell.

Frederik & Mary celebrated new year's eve at their hunting lodge in Trend, with some of their closest friends: Tanja Kjærsgaard and her then husband, Chris Minh Doky; Birgitte & Jeppe Handwerk, Rose Gad & Holger Foss and Marie Louise & Jørgen Skeel.

Christian turns 2

Frederik, Mary and their 2 children spent two days at the royal hunting lodge in Trend to celebrate Christian's second birthday.

Mary and Christian were snapped by a photographer when leaving Kancellihuset.
