Wedding of Jørgen Skeel and Marie Louise Toft

Mary & Frederik's first 'real' appearance after the engagement news... And the first time they were holding hands in public was at the wedding of  Jørgen Skeel and Marie Louise Toft, in Tikøb (Helsingør).

Mary carried a new Yves Saint Laurent purse.

 

Among the guests was Birgitte Handwerk.

Jørgen Skeel is the owner of Birkelse Hovedgaard in Aabybro. It was at his estate that Mary celebrated her first new year in Denmark. The Skeels also have summer residences in Blokhus and Skagen that are often shared with the crown prince family. Marie Louise ('Malou') Toft (°1969) studied economics and international politics at the London School of Economics. For nearly 20 years she had an international business career in London. She's now a local politician in Denmark. Malou is godmother to princess Isabella. Jørgen & Malou have one son, Holger, who is the same age as Prince Christian.
