Margrethe 70: Den Kongelige Livgardes Festkoncert

Queen Margrethe II's 70th birthday was celebrated with a large number of festive events in Denmark, culminating in a various galas. Mary was at the very start of her third pregnancy, expecting twins. The news hadn't been made public yet.

As a final festive event, the Danish royals attended the Royal Life Guards' concert in honour of her majesty the queen, at Tivoli in Copenhagen.


They arrived at 19:30. Tanja Doky was present as Mary's lady-in-waiting.






Among the guests were also Susanne & Peter Heering.


After having enjoyed a selection of the queen's brass band favourites, the royals and their guests were offered a dinner at The Paul in Tivoli.

Nader Mousavizadeh's Party

Frederik & Mary were guests at the 40th birthday bash of Nader Mousavizadeh, one of Frederik's childhood friends. The party was held at Restaurant Mikkelgaard in Hørsholm.



Nader Mousavizadeh was one of Frederik's classmates at the Øregaard Gymnasium. He went on to study at Harvard, Oxford and other prestigious schools. Nader served as a speechwriter and special assistant to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan after a stint as a UN political officer in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He advised the Secretary-General on a wide range of political matters, including the Balkans, the Middle East, Africa, human rights, and the politics of intervention. Mr Mousavizadeh can now be hired as a motivational speaker.

Nader's Danish-British wife, Alexandra Mousavizadeh is an economist who's worked for Moody's and Morgan Stanley in London and New York. She's also the Director of the Prosperity Index, a comprehensive ranking of the prosperity of more than 140 countries published annually by the London-based Legatum Institute.

CIFF 2009

As patron, crown princess Mary visited CIFF at Copenhagen's Bella Center at noon.





She watched the CIFFKids Trend Show and visited the stands of By Malene Birger, Minimarket, Camilla Stærk, Baum und Pfredgarten, Rützou, Day Birger et Mikkelsen, Vibe Harsløf, Fleur Tang, Birds and Stine Goya.



Tanja Doky accompanied her as her lady-in-waiting.




A few hours later, the crown princess visited the Gallery International Fashion Fair at the Forum.

At night, Mary was a guest at the Hugo Boss fashion show, together with Anja Camila Alajdi and Søren Heedegaard  - the stylist and hair & make up artist who daily work with Mary.

Beijing Olympics: Opening

Crown prince Frederik and crown princess Mary were invited by president Hu Jintao for an official welcoming luncheon for heads of state and government leaders.





In November 2016, Mary's dress was sold at Haberdash.


Later the same day, the couple attended the Opening Ceremony.
Mary wore a new dress by Strenesse.
