Crown prince Frederik and crown princess Mary represented Denmark at the reburial of their ancester in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.
First a Russian orthodox ceremony took place at Saint Isaac's Cathedral.
The actual reburial was held afterwards at Saint Peter and Saint Paul's Cathedral. Frederik and Mary cast Danish soil on Maria Feodorvna's coffin. Queen Margrethe had suggested to use soil from Dagmar's rose garden at her home in Hvidøre, where she'd spent the last years of her life. She had tended to the garden herself.
Other guests were king Constantine of Greece, prince Michael of Kent and his wife Marie Christine.
Mary wore new pumps by Pedro Garcia.
