As patron, crown princess Mary made a visit to Rare Disorders Denmark. She was briefed on new projects.
That night, at 19:30 Mary attended the Home Guard's new year's concert at the Copenhagen city hall.
She was accompanied by Caroline Heering, who acted as lady-in-waiting.

Visiting Fred in Hospital

Crown prince Frederik went straigth to Copenhagen's Rigshospitalet when the family got back from their 3 week holidays abroad. After Fred hurt his leg in Switzerland, sleighing with the children, he went on the compete in a Miami sailing race, before flying back to Denmark and getting medical assistance.
Frederik's old and close friend, consultant and professor Christian Buchwald, was there during the entire surgery as support for Frederik.
Mary and the children paid him a visit in hospital.
Two days later, Frederik was discharged from hospital. He would be in plaster for 6 weeks.
