At 15:00 the crown prince couple joined queen Margrethe & prince Henrik for the opening of another exhibition, this time at Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød. "Dronning af Danmark"  portrayed the official and private life of the queen and her place in Danish history.

Mary wore a new top and a new skirt, both by Heartmade. Her new pumps were by Miu Miu and her new coat by Prada.

Around this time Mary's third pregnancy started. At this stage it was still very private, and the couple possibly wasn't aware yet they would be having twins.

Easter on the Slopes

No traditional Marselisborg Easter holidays for Mary & Frederik in 2010, as they spent their Easter holidays in Verbier, Switzerland in the company of Peter & Caroline Heering and daughters Emilie and Rosemarie.

Frederik's holidays were interrupted for a 1-day IOC conference in Lausanne.

Another day

It was the third time in a relatively short period for Mary to visit the high end ski resort. Four months earlier there had been the adults only party weekend hosted by the Wedell-Wedellborgs and 2 months earlier Fred & Mary had been on a week long skiing trip with the children - the one where Isabella had fallen ill.
This holiday was preceeded by a week of Thai tourism for Mary and her friend Malou Skeel.

Commotion surrounding a Dinner with Friends

6 March 2010

On Saturday night Mary was spotted at Italian restaurant La Vela in Vedbæk. Among the group of friends she was with were Rigmor Zobel and her husband, lawyer Jesper Ravn, Sarah Zobel & her then husband, hotel owner Alexander Kølpin, Ellen Hillingsø, baron Johan & baroness Rebecca Wedell-Wedellsborg, Birgitte & Jeppe Handwerk, Peter Aaendahl, Nina Wedell-Wedellsborg, children's author & fashion designer Shane Brox, countess Jean & count Ditlev Ahlefeldt-Laurvig.

Afterwards they walked to Johan & Rebecca Wedell-Wedellsborg's home, a few minutes from the restaurant. The Wedells had organized this get together because they were moving to the USA.

Rigmor Zobel, who was among the group of friends, had been convicted for buying and using cocaine a month earlier and taking part in gang related crime. She had talked to the press about it, saying how unfair her conviction was and how a police officer, whom she named, had ruined her career - before jetting off to Gstaad for a holiday. Mary knew Rigmor would attend the dinner. The crown prince couple has always been on good terms with the Zobel family and Rigmor in particular had been a good friend of the couple when they were living in Fredensborg.

Danish press immediately linked the socialite drug user to crown princess Mary and wondered why they were hanging out together. Ellen Hillingsø later commented to a journalist that it was just a large group of people out having dinner.

It was one of the few times (after Mary's start as "fashion and luxury princess" and the revelations in Trine Villemann's books) where Mary was publicly criticized.
