Holidays in Verbier

Mary, Frederik and their two small children Christian (2,5 years) and Isabella (10 months) went on their annual skiing trip to Verbier, Switzerland. They were accompanied by their close friends, Peter & Caroline Heering and their two daughters and by Jeppe & Birgitte Handwerk and their 2 daughters. They had rented a large chalet together. Nannies were with them to look after the children while the parents went skiing.

The press spotted them on numerous occasions.

There was also an official photo session.

When asked by the press if the couple wanted more children, Mary replied "Yes, if we can be so lucky. Children will come, when they come."

Marie-Louise Skeel and her son Holger visited Mary at her home in Fredensborg. They were seen out in the park together.

Margrethe's birthday

Mary, Frederik & Christian joined queen Margrethe and the rest of the family on the balcony of Amalienborg palace when she was sung and cheered to for her 67th birthday.

It was Mary's last public appearance before giving birth to Isabella, 5 days later.

The same day before leaving for Copenhagen, Mary, Frederik & Christian had been seen walking in Fredensborg park.

Holidays in Verbier

4th-9th February 2007

As is tradition in February, the Danish crown princely couple spent their annual skiing holidays in the top notch Swiss ski resort of Verbier. It was here Mary celebrated her 35th birthday on the 5th of February.

 

7 month pregnant Mary did not do any skiing herself this year.

 

The couple spent the holiday with their friends Peter Warnøe and Julia Tholstrup (who would split up a year later), baroness Caroline Iuel-Brockdorff & husband Rory Fleming (who also divorced a year later) and Caroline & Peter Heering. They didn't stay in Warnøe's chalet however, but rented their own. They were accompanied by nannies Mette Hansen and Mie Damgaard Kristiansen.

There was a photo opp for the press, with little Christian who was then 15 months old.

Trip to Australia: day 13

4 December 2006

Pregnant Mary, Christian and Frederik were spotted having breakfast in Sydney, at a Bronte café. They were joined by Chris Meehan & Michaela Ward and their son, Percy.

Afterwards Mary bought new shoes for Christian at the Bondi Junction Shopping Centre.

This was the last day of their Australian holidays. The next day they would leave for Denmark.

In Newport, USA

First week of September 2006

From 1 tot 9 September Frederik competed in the international sailing competition Farr 40 in Newport, Rhode Island, USA.

Mary and Christian made a private visit to him of a couple of days. They were accompanied by Christian's nanny, Mette Hansen.

Mary was spotted shopping. She made a visit to GAP baby and other stores.

Summer holidays: Fredensborg

Mary was seen walking Christian in the park of Fredensborg palace.

Show jumping at Bernstorffsparken

Mary & Frederik went to see the show jumping at Bernstorffsparken. They took their son Christian along.
