Frederik & Mary attended the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada from the 9th to the 19th of February. While crown prince Frederik of Denmark was present as an official IOC member, Mary had no official activities and was only listed as accompanying her husband. She arrived later. The children were at home in Denmark.

Mary accompanied Frederik to the 10 kilometer men's ski biathlon where Fred, as an IOC member, got to hand out the medals.

On a TV interview for Go'Morgen Danmark Frederik and Mary were asked whether there was any rivalry between them in regards to the Danish and Australian contestants. Frederik admitted that there was some rivalry and pointed out that the Austrailian contestant came in right after the Danish. Mary on the other hand said that there was no rivalry at all between them. They were there to cheer the Danish contestant - Trying to be more professional and diplomatic in her role.

The ceremony started with a speech by the most senior ambassador, to which the queen responded with a few words of her own.

Once the court was over, in the afternoon, Mary changed into her fur coat and went out for a spot of shopping in the streets of Copenhagen.

After getting a coffee to go at Joe & The Juice (owned by their friend Johan Wedell-Wedellsborg), Mary left Frederik to take a look inside the high end interior shop Rue Verte on the Grønnegade.

She came across Morten Fabricius, night club owner and friend of Fred & Mary's.

Later that day Mary was spotted shopping at Birger Christensen on Strøget in the company of her stylists, Anja Alajdi and Søren Heedegaard.
