Navy Jubilee: Parade & Reception

A few days after the official anouncement of her third pregnancy, this time with twins, crown princess Mary interrupted her two month long summer holidays for a series of official activities alongside other members of the Danish royals, celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Danish navy.

10 August 2010

At 13:30 crown princess Mary and her two children arrived at Tolboden in Copenhagen harbour to join queen Margrethe II aboard the Dannebrog. From there, they watched a special military naval parade.

This was the first time Mary met the press since the anouncement of her new pregnancy. All eyes were focused on her belly... Mary told the press she was feeling well but had been extremely tired now and then. She also stated she would continue working for as long as she could.

At 19:00 queen Margrethe, prince Henrik, crown prince Frederik & crown princess Mary returned to the Dannebrog for a reception in honour of the Navy's 500th years of existence.
