Landsmøde for Unge Kræftramte + De Vilde Svaner

As patron of Kræftens Bekæmpelse, crown princess Mary opened the National Convention for Young Cancer Patients in Svendborg.



The convention was a first initiative to establish networks for young people suffering from cancer, in order for them to share experiences and thoughts and get support from others in a similar situation.


Tanja Doky accompanied Mary as lady-in-waiting.






At night, crown prince Frederik & crown princess Mary joined queen Margrethe II and her sister queen Anne Marie of Greece at the gala premiere of 'The Wild Swans' at Imperial Biografen in Copenhagen.





Queen Margrethe had designed sets and costumes for this film adaptation of HC Andersen's fairy tale. She also made a cameo in the film.


Mary wore new earrings by Amrita Singh.

Danish Design Visit to USA: Day 3

At 9:00, the crown prince couple made a visit to Grand View University in Des Moines, which maintains close historical connections to Denmark.



Mary wore a new Prada suit.

Frederik & Mary participated in the celebration of the 125th anniversary of Dana College in Omaha, Nebraska where Frederik was given an honorary doctorate.




Mary' s new pumps were by Christian Louboutin.



Barely a year later this small university ceased to exist due to financial problems.

A visit to the 'Novozymes' bioethanol factory in Blair, Nebraska.

Dinner with business people and Danish-American representatives in Omaha on the occasion of Dana College's 125 years' jubilee.



Mary wore a new gold and diamond 'Capella' ring by Marianne Dulong.

50th anniversary of Hungary's liberation

As patron of Dansk Flygtningehjælp crown princess Mary attended a gala evening at Koncerthuset for the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hungary. She was accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, Caroline Heering.

 



Mary wore a new dress by Hugo Boss.



This was Mary's first public appearance after the anouncement of her second pregnancy two days earlier. Mary replied the shouting photographers she was happy and feeling well. Asked wether it would be a boy or a girl she said she hoped for a healthy baby.
