Visit to Romania: day 1
8th October 2007
Crown prince Frederik and crown princess Mary of Denmark made a 2-day official visit to Romania, at the invitation of President Traian Basescu. They were accompanied by Per Thornit and by Mary's lady-in-waiting, Caroline Heering.
A nanny took care of Isabella, who was still being breastfed by Mary.
At 11:30 they arrived at the Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest where they were officially welcomed by the president and his wife, Maria Basescu.

Mary carried a new Chanel purse.
Her new dress was by Strenesse.
Afterwards the crown princely couple visited the Art Collections Museum in Bucharest.
They then went on to the Danish embassy for an official reception.
At the Victor Babes Hospital they visited the Casa Doru ward for HIV infected children.
Finally they met Romanian PM Popescu and his wife.
