Summer cruise: day 1

The crown prince couple visited Haderslev and Vojens.

Haderslev: Christian and Isabella staid aboard the Dannebrog with their nanny, while Mary and Frederik visited the local sports centre and "Mollen" Theatre.

Caroline Heering acted as lady-in-waiting.

Vojens: visit to Flyvestation Skydstrup

Odense Blomsterfestival

Crown princess Mary was present in Odense for the opening of the city's Flower Festival.

She also baptized a new flower species, "Kronprinsessens Klokkeblomst" (the crown princess's 'klokkeblomst')

Mary was accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, Caroline Heering.

Mary was in the very first stage of her pregnancy with Isabella. The news hadn't been made public yet, and the crown princess probably wasn't aware of the pregnancy herself yet.

A new rose

1 September 2005

Pregnant crown princess Mary baptized a new breed of roses, named "Kronprinsesse Mary" after her. At Poulsen Roser in Fredensborg.

She was accompanied by Victoria Bernstorff, her lady-in-waiting.

Garden Living Fair

Crown princess Mary, who was expecting her first child, and her lady-in-waiting Victoria Bernstorff-Gyldensteen were in Hillerød for the official opening of the annual Garden Living Fair, in the gardens of Frederiksborg castle.
