Visit to Australia 2011: Day Three

The Danish crown prince & crown princess were on an official 7 day visit to Mary's home country, followed by 3 weeks of holidays in Tasmania. Mary & Frederik's first week in Australia was an official trade mission with cultural exchanges and top diplomatic encounters.

Arrival at Canberra Airport.

Meeting with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and lunch in Parliament House.

Meeting with opposition leader Tony Abbott at the House of Representatives.

Visit to the "Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander" art exhibition in the National Gallery of Australia.
Mary also posed in front of her own portrait and met the painter, Jiawei Shen.

Visit to the National Arboretum where crown prince Frederik & crown princess Mary planted a field maple (Acer Campestre).



Mary was wearing a new diamond "Vivianna Pavé" watch by Georg Jensen.

Australian Reception for the Twins

Crown prince Frederik & crown princess Mary attended a recpeption at the Australian embassy in Hellerup that was organized to mark the birth of their twins, prince Vincent & prince Josephine.


Mary wore a new dress by Hugo Boss and carried a new clutch by Pura Lopez. Her new necklace was custom made by Charlotte Lynggaard (for the jewellery brand Ole Lynggaard).

They were recieved by ambassador James Choi.



Mary was accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, Tanja Doky.
