Summer Cruise 2011: Skagen

The first stop on the crown prince family's summer cruise was Skagen.

10:00 Arrival with the highlight of the day, showing the 7 months old twins to the public.

Greeting the large crowd waiting for them.

10.40: Carriage ride to Kappel Borg, Skagen's new arts center which would be inaugurated by the crown prince & crown princess.

Tanja Doky accompanied Mary on the tour as her lady-in-waiting.

12:00: A showing of the exhibition "Skagen Gold" at Skagen Museum.

13:00 Lunch at Hotel Brøndums.

14:25 Visit to Daycare "Rainbow" and "Willows".

15:00 Visit to Skagen Arthritis and Rygcenter.

15:50 Visit to the studio and production premises of Electro Marine.

16:30 Guided tour of Klitgården that had been built by the Crown Prince's great-grandfather King Christian X in 1914.

17:10 Carriage ride back to the Dannebrog.

19:30 Reception aboard the royal yacht.

22:00 The Dannebrog leaves Skagen for its next destination, Hanstholm.

Promo Trip to Washington: Day 4

Crown prince Frederik & crown princess Mary made a 5-day official trip to Washington, USA as an official way to mark the 50th anniversary of the Danish embassy in the American capital. The trip largerly focused on Danish architecture and on H.C. Andersen. Mary was in the first stage of her third pregnancy, expecting twins. The news hadn't been made public yet.

Crown princess Mary & crown prince Frederik were present at the "Youth Diabetes Prevention" event at Novo Nordisk to promote Danish healthy lifestyles and the prevention of diabetes among children and adolescents.

Mary wore new flats by Prada.

The crown prince couple attended the premiere of the film "The Wild Swans" featuring costumes and decoupage by queen Margrethe, at the National Gallery of Art.
