At 11:00, crown princess Mary accepted a donation from the Danish Demining Group (part of the Swedish Lottery Group) on behalf of her patronage, Dansk Flygtningehjælp. The audience took place at Amalienborg, Christian VIIIs Palae.

In the afternoon, Mary attended the EliteForsk conference at New Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen where various researchers were awarded for their work.
One of the recipients, Milena Penkowa (in the middle) saw her prize later taken away from her because she committed fraud.
Mary's new brooch was by Yves Saint Laurent. She new pumps were Louboutins.
On their second day in Melbourne, Mary visited her patronage, the Alannah and Madeline Foundation.
Mary said she was "delighted to have had the opportunity to find out more about how The Alannah And Madeline Foundation initiative works and to talk about their programs at The Mary Foundation".
At night she was joined by Frederik at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne for the Alannah & Madeline Fundraising Dinner.
They were welcomed by The Alannah and Madeline Chair, John Bertrand and his wife Suzzy.
They were in the company of Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.
