Cirkus Benneweis

Mary & Frederik took Christian and Isabella along for a performance of Cirkus Benneweis in Aarhus. They were accompanied by queen Margrethe and prince Henrik.

During the intermission they were allowed to pet the elephants.

The family was staying at Marselisborg Castle.

Frederik & Mary were spending the month of July holidaying in Denmark. In August a two week-holiday in Australia would follow after representing Denmark at the Olympics in Beijing.

First official photos of princess Isabella

Newspaper Politiken published the first official photos of Mary and Frederik's daughter (who hadn't been officially named yet).

The photos had been taken at Kancellihuset by Steen Brogaard.

Mary wore a new watch: a gold "Tank Française" by Cartier.

Trip to Australia: day 8 + Nineteenth patronage

After having flown to Melbourne two days earlier, pregnant crown princess Mary was seen making a 2 hour visit to the Aspendale Gardens Primary School to get acquainted with the Alannah and Madeline Foundation and their "Better Buddies Program", a new patronage of hers she would later use in the anti bullying campaign of her own Mary Fonden.

Mary wore a new dress by DAY, Birger et Mikkelsen.

After the visit she had lunch with Frederik at Bluetrain, an eatery she'd frequented when she was working in Melbourne. They both had a salad, with tap water and a coffee.

Afterwards they went shopping.

Trip to Australia: day 6

After having spent 5 days in Hobart, pregnant Mary, Frederik and Christian took a flight to Melbourne.

Nanny Mette Hansen helped to carry the suitcases.

In Melbourne the family staid at the 5 star Como Hotel.

Graasten 2006: photo shoot

Right after their holidays at the château de Cayx in France, Frederik & his little family moved on to the annual family gathering at Gråsten castle.

The entire family posed for the press.

Little prince Christian was very much the focal point of the photo shoot. Carina Axelsson was present at the photo call for the first time, making her relationship with prince Gustav von Berleburg official.

Mary wore a new skirt by Malene Birger.

It was around this time crown princess Mary became pregnant for the second time. Quite soon, since Christian was only 9 months of age.
