Opening new psychiatric hospital

As the patron of PsykiatriFonden, crown princess Mary opened a new psychiatric hospital in Helsingør.

She was accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, Caroline Heering.

HC Andersen reception at Copenhagen town hall

The concluding activity for the Danish royals in the HC Andersen festive weekend was a reception at the Copenhagen town hall.

Mary wore a new shirt jacket by Malene Birger ...

.... and new Prada pumps.

Other royal guests were princess Benedikte, prince Joachim and his wife princess Alexandra (they were to be divorced a few days later), prince Constantijn of the Netherlands and his wife princess Laurentien who was a HC Andersen ambassador herself.

Crown princess Mary handed out diplomas to the youngest HC Andersen ambassadors. Among them was the girl she and Frederik had met at a story telling contest in New York a few months earlier. (see post http://maryfromthestart.blogspot.be/2014/01/visit-to-new-york-day-three.html)

Mary was expecting Christian. The news hadn't been made public yet.

Australia tour: day 13

On their second and last day in Canberra, crown prince Frederik and crown princess Mary visited the National Museum of Australia, accompanied by Per Thornit and Mary's lady-in-waiting.

Mary wore a new Prada purse.

They attended a reception at Parliament House.

And they were shown the kangaroos in the grounds of Government House ...

 

Mary wore a new T-shirt by Heartmade. Her (ex) sister-in-law Alexandra had previously been seen with the same one.

Mary was in the first stage of her pregnancy with Christian. The news hadn't been made public yet.

Mary opens Health Week

For her third solo event, crown princess Mary opened Health Week in Fredensborg - her new home town.

Mary wore new earrings by Marianne Dulong.

Military Parade

5 May 2004

The next prewedding event was a formal salute of the Danish military to the crown prince and his wife to be, at Langelinie in Copenhagen.

Frederik and Mary Donaldson arrived by barge to the Royal yacht Dannebrog. From there they watched the army, navy, Home Guard and air force make their salutes.



Mary wore a new hat by Susanne Juul.

The Donaldson family was present.

Mary's Australian friend Amber Petty watched the entire event from Mary's apartment at Langelinie Quay.
