A New Rehabilitation Project + Fredensborg Concert

Six month pregnant crown princess Mary joined her husband, crown prince Frederik when he officially opened a rehabilitation centre for Danish soldiers wounded in action.

The couple and their entourage arrived at 10:00.




The centre was part of Copenhagen's Rigshospitalet.






Caroline Heering acted as Mary's lady-in-waiting. Caroline's own husband, Peter Heering was at the time deployed in Afghanistan.




At 19:00 the crown prince couple and princess Marie joined queen Margrethe II & prince Henrik for a concert and dinner at Fredensborg Palace, offered to a selection of Danish scientists and researchers.



Once again, Caroline Heering was at Mary's side as her lady-in-waiting.






Mary wore a new necklace by Marianne Dulong.





At dinner she was seated next to the rector of Aarhus University.

KreaNord + Julemærket 2010

At 8:45 crown princess Mary was present at  the Stock Exchange in Copenhagen to attend the opening of the Nordic Council of Ministers' conference "KreaNord" about creative industries in the Nordic countries.





Mary was 6 months pregnant with the twins. She was accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, Tanja Doky.


Then there was a second activity on the same day. As patron, crown princess Mary attended the presentation of the new Christmas seal at Copenhagen's Nationalmuseet in the afternoon.









Count Ingolf & countess Sussie av Rosenborg were also present.

Christian's Birthday Party

Whe he turned 5, little prince Christian was celebrated all day long.

First grandpapa Henrik came by in the morning.


Later in the morning Christian's little friends from kindergarten also stopped by. Mary and the teachers took the children out into Fredensborg Park for a treasure hunt. Afterwards they came into Kancellihuset for a birthday lunch consisting of pizza, muffins and juice.





Mary was 6 months pregnant with the twins.


In the afternoon another batch of friends arrived, bearing lots of gifts. This time it were Mary & Frederik's friends, often accompanied by their children:
- Countess Alexandra af Frederiksborg & Martin Jørgensen with princes Nikolai & Felix.
- Baron Otto & baroness Helle Reedtz-Thott with their children Ludvig, Holger & Eloise.
- Charlotte Velin
- Ellen Hillingsø
- Elisabeth Buchwald with Ida & Andreas
- Countess Jean Ahlefeldt-Laurvig & her daughter
- Birgitte Handwerk with India & Palma.


Late in the afternoon queen Margrethe also dropped in to celebrate her grandson.
