Picking up the Kids

Danish reporters from Ekstrabladet were waiting for Mary when she came to pick up Christian & Isabella from their kindergarten in Fredensborg.
Mary was wearing a new blouse by Hugo Boss.
The journalists wanted to know her opinion regarding possible changes in the rules of succession to the Danish throne, which were being discussed at the time. Mary told them twice she had no opinion.
Christian asked his mother what they would be doing later in the day. Mary said they were having guests over. "What will we do then?", Christian asked. Mary replied: "I hope we'll play together".

Midnight Tiara
Between 2009 and 2013, crown princess Mary used Charlotte Lynggaard's 'Midnight Tiara'.
The tiara is made of silver, oxydized silver, white gold, moonstones and pavé set diamonds. It's colours are remeniscent of moonshine.
The tiara was created in 2009 and its first public display was at the exhibition “The Tiara – Queen of Jewels, Jewel of Queens” held at the Amalienborg Museum between March and August 2009.
In June it was taken from the exhibition to be used by Mary at the gala for the 75th birthday of prince Henrik.
Since then she wore it at 2 other oaccasions, as an alternative for her 2 other tiaras: the diamond wedding tiara and the tiara from queen Ingrid's ruby set.
The Midnight Tiara has a shopvalue of about € 200,000. However it is not for sale, as the Ole Lynggaard jewellers company reserves its exclusive right of use to crown princess Mary. The jewellers retain the wonership of the tiara - it has not been sold.

Prince Henrik's 75th Birthday: Songs, Parade & Gala

On the actual day of Henrik's 75th birthday, Frederik, Mary, Christian and Isabella were among the crowd who brought the traditional morgensang underneath Henrik & Margrethe's window at Fredensborg Palace.
Mary's new cardigan was by Ann Taylor.
Princess Alexandra von Berleburg was also present.
In the course of the day a parade was held at Fredensborg in honour of the Danish prince consort.
In the evening the royal family asisted at a gala dinner at Fredensborg.
Crown princess Mary wore a new tiara: Charlotte Lynggaard's Midnight Diadem. Her new earrings and brooch were from the same set.

Prince Henrik's 75th Birthday: Lunch & Concert

At noon, Mary and Frederik attended a family luncheon aboard the Dannebrog for prince Henrik's 75th birthday, and the regent couple's 42nd wedding anniversary. While they were lunching, the ship sailed from Copenhagen harbour to Rungsted harbour.
At night, they joined the other Danish royals at Copenhagen's Opera for a concert and reception.
