State Visit to Vietnam: Private Part

After the official 6-day state visit, the Danish royals spent another 3 days in Vietnam.

Mary was spotted jewellery shopping in Don Khoi, Ho Chi Minh City.

She also took a look at Tanmy Design, a store of silk gowns.

The royals were also reported visiting the tourist area of Golden Valley (Da Lat), the region where prince Henrik's French parents used to have a holiday cottage.

The last day of the state visit was spent in Ho Chi Minh city.

9:20 Queen Margrethe II & crown princess Mary visited the Danish moulding factory Viedam.

11:00 Queen Margrethe II & crown princess Mary visited the Mærsk Group, where they also participated in the introduction of the campaign for children to wear a helmet.

16:00 Press conference. 

The day ended with a reception offered by the Ho Chi Minh city authorities. The royal family would however stay in Vietnam for three more days, on a private visit.

The regent and crown prince couple spent the morning with an official sightseeing program in the Hue province.

At noon there was a visit to the ancient citadal of Hue and luncheon hosted by the president of the Hue province.
