Summer Cruise 2011: Departure

Crown prince Frederik & crown princess Mary were to make a 5 day summer cruise on the royal yacht Dannebrog, boarding at various Danish coastal towns.

This royal tradition allows the public to meet & greet the Danish royals, and on this particular tour it were baby twins prince Vincent & princess Josephine who stole the show. Christian & Isabella didn't take part in the tour and stayed at home/school.

The royals were accompanied by two nannies, lady-in-waiting Tanja Doky, chief of court Christian Schønau, master of ceremony Christian Eugen-Olsen, and the staff who took care of their clothes, styling and cooking.

On the day of departure, crown princess Mary and Tanja Doky were photographed in Copenhagen carrying the twin babies aboard.

Mary was wearing a new skirt by Hugo Boss.

Frederik & Mary were among the 250 guests at the wedding of Anders Kirk Johansens and Anja Buchwald.

The groom is a billionair grandson of Lego founder Gotfred Kirk Christiansen.

 The wedding took place at the church of Stouby.

Mary wore a new gown by Heartmade.

with Mary's friend, Sofie Kirk Kristiansen, heir to the Lego imperium and her then husband, Cristopher Kiær Thomsen.

Anders Kirk Johansens and Anja Buchwald divorced in 2015.

I Declare Opened: Garden Living Fair 2011

Crown princess Mary officially opened the Garden Living Fair which was held in the castle grounds of Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød.

Tanja Doky acted as lady-in-waiting.

Mary was wearing a new ring by JEWLSCPH.

Reception in honour of Ove Ullerup

Mary attended a reception at Christiansborg Slot for the 60th birthday of court marshall Ove Ullerup.

With Ove's wife, Bodil Mørkøv.

Other guests were Mary's close friends and (former) ladies-in-waiting Tanja Doky and Caroline Heering, politicians Lene Espersen, Mogens Lykketoft and Helle Thorning-Schmidt and filmmaker Bille August.

Master of ceremony Christian Eugen-Olsen described Ullerup in his speech as a perfectionist and a golf buddy.

Mary wore new earrings by JEWLSCPH.

Christian's First Schoolday

For prince Christian's vey first day at primary school there was a short meeting with the press outside Amalienborg Slot.

Christian answered a few questions from the press. He answered yes to the questions wether he was excited to start school, and if he could already spell his name.
He'd been to discover the school a day earlier.
He answered that yes, he had a packed lunch with him, but he woudn't say what was in it, "a secret!" He also said it would mostly be mum who'd pick him up from school.
Do you know others who are in your class? "Yes, but I'm not telling who".

Mary was wearing a new dress by Hugo Boss.

Frederik & Mary accompanied their eldest child to his new school, Tranegårdskolen in Gentofte, Hellerup, a small public school yet also an elite establishment in one of the wealthiest parts in Denmark. One of Christian's classmates was his friend, Rosemarie Heering, daughter of Peter & Caroline Heering.

In the afternoon, Mary & Frederik were photographed again when they went to pick up Christian from school.
